Verbatim transcription is exactly as the term suggests, verbatim. It is an exact word for word transcription including off topic parts as well as slang and in between words like “uh”, “um” or “like”. Edited Transcription Edited Transcription provides a final transcription that is edited down, leaving out anything unnecessary like the “uh”, “um” or “like” words for example. The client can provide a list of what they are looking to have transcribed and what they would like left out of the final transcription. Intelligent Transcription Intelligent Transcription takes Edited Transcription much further. The transcriber will leave out any content that does not stay specifically on the topic in the audio or video. It is edited down to the point, the most important parts, not including anything that diverts or touches on anything unrelated.
